Lori ultimately finds proof that the man's wife killed him in their house, only to end up drugged with a syringe as she attempts to leave. We first see the murdering wife dragging Lori across the floor with her wrists (presumably) tied in a criss-cross fashion before we flash to her in the villainess' trunk, gagged with duct tape.
When Lori comes to, we get a much better view of her predicament: along with her tape gag, she also has her feet taped together and her wrists tied in the aforementioned fashion behind her back. Some nice emoting from Davis as her scorned captor has her villain rant while ransacking the house, planning to frame another neighbor as Lori's killer.
With her captor busy at work, Lori is able to use a broken piece of glass to cut herself free, ungagging herself by pulling her tape gag to around her neck before untying her legs. Some tape remnants are visible on Lori's wrists later on, though her gag is gone by the next shot of her face.
